Upper West Side

Known for tree lined streets with brownstones and doorman buildings, the Upper West Side (UWS) has been an established residential neighborhood of NYC's for decades. It is luxuriously sandwiched between two of NYC's most popular parks: Central Park to the east; Riverside Park to the west. Originally called the Bloomingdale District, the UWS has experienced many demographic transitions from a tenement community, to an ethnically diverse gay enclave, to a Jewish community, and to its current mix of Wall Street professionals and families.

Often the backdrop for film and television shows, the UWS has transitioned into a picturesque neighborhood hosting world-renowned arts programs at is prominent theatres and art centers. Highlights: Central Park, Museum of Natural History, Lincoln Center, Riverside Park
